Our Story

Hi I'm Erin the owner and creator of Forrest and Mae, and here's a little of our story. 

I am a 31 year old mother and wife. My husband and I have been together for nearly 16 years ( I know time bloody fly's .) We have a 2 year old, beautiful daughter. She is our little love! I am a highly creative soul, it really makes my world go around being creative! In my life time I have worn many hats when it comes to a career, retail assistant, hairdresser, plant operator, prison officer, cosmetic tattoo artist, brow artist. You name it I've probably done it. Once I had my daughter I close my business as I become a full time stay at home mum. I would fill my creative sparkle with macrame, but I want something new and exciting so I played with the idea of starting a jewellery business off and on but all the full time care givers out there would know its a FULL time job! My husband working in mining pulling long hours there just wasn't enough time in the day, until there was. We decided to completely flip our lives upside down and travel Australia full time! Which meant my husband isn't working and able to look after our daughter while I create beaded magic! So Forrest and Mae was finally born. Our name however was born 2 years ago like my daughter, it is a combination of us, knowing she would always be right there with me. Our middle names combined, Forrest being my daughters middle name and Mae being mine. We can't wait to bring you all of the magical bead jewels.
